Arrivals at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport

All passengers arriving on an internationalflight, need to go through passport control. DFW has a color-coded wayfinding system.

ORANGE –U.S. or Canadian citizens, or lawful permanent residents should follow the ORANGE signs to the Automated Passport Control (APC) Kiosk. At kiosks,they will scan their passports and answer a fewquestions and get a receipt to show to Customs and Border Protection officer at the exit.

PURPLE – Passengers holding Visa Waiver/ESTA or B1/B2 Visa should follow the PURPLE signs to Automated Passport Control kiosks, where they can scan their passports and will have to answer few questions. They should show the receipt to the Customs and Border Protection officer at the exit.

GRAY – International Travelers whose status does not match any other category, should follow the GRAY signs to Customs and Border Protection Booths and provide their declaration forms for processing. The receipts should be presented at the exit to Customs and Border Protection officer.

BLUE is for Global Entry program members. Global Entry is a program by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and enables quicken authorization for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. A Fingerprint biometric technology verifies a registered member. The passengercan apply online at The fee for the applicationis $100 and is followedby in-person interview. Global Entry members at DFW should follow BLUE signs to a Global Entry Kiosk. They will have to scan their passports or US permanent resident cards, place their fingertips on the scanner for verification, and make a Customs declaration.

WHITE – US or Canadian citizens who have downloaded the Mobile Passport App should follow WHITE signs to the Mobile Passport express lane.

I-94 corrections, deferred inspection permits, and all customs documents are handledat CPB Cashiers Office that is situated on the lower level of TerminalD at D23, on the left of International Arrivals.

Flights at terminals arrive at the arrivals level.

Claiming a Luggage

Passengers needing baggage cartsshould locate them at all entrances and exits and in the baggageclaim area. Baggage carousels at TerminalA are – A15, A16, A17, A28, A29, at terminal B – B4, B29, B30 at Terminal C – C4, C12, C15, C25, C26, C31, at terminal D – D15, D16, D29, D30, D31, at Terminal E – E4, E5, E14, E15, E31, E32, E37, E38.

All passengers with checked-in baggage should proceed to baggage claim area and locate their flight number on monitors to moveto the correct carousel.
